Welcome to my new subscribers this month. I hope you will find something interesting and perhaps inspiring in all the things I have this week. This is where I share the books, articles, podcasts and of course substacks that have kept me curious.

Hello old friends, to those that join me week after. I love writing for you and sharing everything that has sparked my curiosity.

I’ve been reading these substacks…

• Beyond toxic positivity because something things are just shit and denying that isn’t the solution

• Say no to false urgency syndrome brilliant piece on saying not getting caught up other peoples urgency to get things done. There are also some really helpful ways to break the urgency

• Future proofing ourselves in the face of AI. Essentially get really good at being human

• Show up for yourself first As someone who loves spending time alone I loved this. ‘solitude as freedom from other people’s inputs’ sounds good right?

• Doing things for the sake of it I’m taking this one into next week!

• A field guide for feeling stuck because apparently being stuck is a vibe right now

• Why you shouldn’t read this (maybe) what to do when your plate is full

I’m reading these books…

• I’ve loved Strong Female Character by Fern Brady. A memoire through the eyes of a later autism diagnosis.

• The way Claire Keegan puts sentences togther is beauty. I loved the novella Small Things Like These about a man’s search for meaning in 80’s Ireland.

I’m watching…

An embarrassing number of shows, did I mention I’ve been ill? Here are the ones I’ve enjoyed the most throughout the dark nights of January.

• Like everyone I’ve been devouring the TV adaptation of David Nichols One Day

• I’ve recently found Yellowjackets on Paramount + and got through the full 2 seasons in a week. Truly terrifying with a brilliant 90’s soundtrack
