I have just finished Still Life by Sarah Winman and absolutely loved it - laughed and cried. I'd previously been put off by its length but I found it again at just the right time.
I am now reading the memoir I Belong Here by Anita Sethi. It's absolutely brilliant and also a tough read. It intertwines her experiences of a solo walk along the backbone of Britain with her processing her trauma around experiencing racism and being the victim of a hate crime.
